John had a great idea that we would start camping this summer. It has been a while since I had camped. Since we got the houseboat when I was 8, I'm not sure that I have 'roughed it' since then. I had forgotten how dirty one can get. I also had not camped as a parent or as the 'cook' before. Thank goodness our good friends Dianna and Gabriel (also Kristen and Katie) were their to help-well actually do everything! We only had to rush down to the ER once for Adam. He was chopping wood(that's his story and he's sticking to it) and the head of the ax fell off and hit his leg. 3 stiches later (a trip to the ER bathroom) we were back up the mountain! We got home just in time to light fireworks!

It's about freakin time since you posted! Looks like you've had one busy summer- No wonder I haven't seen you! I miss you and hopefully will see you this week at work!
The fam looks awesome- but what did Adam do to the mailbox??
